Graveside services, officiated by Pastor Denny McCullough, will be held on May 13th at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, Florida. North Brevard Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Sibyl was born in Gypsum, Kansas on February 5, 1924 to Bert and Dorris (Hawthorne) Hesher. She and her siblings, Dixie (Bogart), Wayne and Bill, enjoyed a happy childhood in Gypsum. Sibyl was born in Gypsum, Kansas on February 5, 1924 to Bert and Dorris (Hawthorne) Hesher. She and her siblings, Dixie (Bogart), Wayne and Bill, enjoyed a happy childhood in Gypsum. Sibyl graduated from Gypsum High School in 1942 and went on to graduate from Asbury School of Nursing in Salina, Kansas. She was a licensed RN in the state of Kansas as well in as the state of Florida. She married Robert Netherton, Sr. in 1945 and moved from Kansas to Akron, Ohio. Their son, Robert Netherton, Jr. was born to them in 1947. They moved back to Kansas to be near family and Sibyl began a rewarding career as a registered nurse on the psychiatric ward at Larned State Hospital. She served her patients faithfully until her retirement in 1984. Sibyl often said the birth of her grandson, Ryan in 1978, was one of the greatest joys in her life. She and husband, Bob Sr. moved to Florida to be part of Ryan's growing years. She and Ryan enjoyed a close and lasting bond. Sibyl was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Titusville and was a dedicated volunteer at the North Brevard Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends and china painting. She was a resident of Benton House of Titusville the past 3 years. Her son, Bob, visited her daily making sure had everything she needed--especially those "sweets" she was so fond of eating. Preceding Sibyl in death were her beloved husband, her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and Smoky Bogart, and brother, Wayne. Surviving family members include her son Bob Jr. (LaNelle) of Titusville, grandson Ryan of Chicago, Illinois, brother, Bill (Geneva) of Port Orange, Florida, sister-in-laws, Patti Hesher of Larned, Kansas and Louise Heidish of Florida, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Brevard Senior Center, 909 Lane Ave, Titusville, FL 32780.
