He passed away at his home on March 7, 1958 at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Rose and five children: Vernal Mohr and Lois Edwards of Victor, Donald Duane Mohr of Coralville; Mrs. Byrdene Martinez and Nola Mohr of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Russell, Waldo and Paul; one sister, Lois Mohr; 14 grandchildren, Diann, Danny, Patricia and Vicki Mohr, Jerry, Lee, Sherrie and Don Edwards (who is with the U.S. Army), Bernie, Gregory Paul and Laural Mohr, Keveta and Reveille Martinez and Kerry Mohr. He was preceded in death by one son, who died in infancy, and one grandchild Larry Edwards. He was united in marriage to Rose Barnes of Victor on Feb. 28, 1913 at Montezuma, Iowa, at the Methodist parsonage. He lived 41 years in the vicinity of Victor and four years in Chelsea. "Sid" had been employed at the Amana Refrigeration plant for seven years. He had not worked since January 1958, when his health began to fail. Friends and relatives will always remember "Sid" for his great love of fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed by his wife and children, who will cherish his love and memory forever. Funeral services were held Monday, March 10 at two o'clock at the McAninch chapel, with the Rev. N. F. Grote officiating. Mrs. George Keller played two organ solos, "Beautiful Ise of Somewhere" and "Good Night Here and Good Morning Up There." Flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Lyman and Mrs. and Mrs. Rex Foster. The pallbearers were Wes Veverka, Darold Roberts, John Roberts, James Callahan, Horace Wahl and Hollis Fish. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
