Hinder, daughter of John and Sarah Hinder, was born at Victor, Iowa, March 4, 1869, and died at Roswell, NM; July 3, 1914, age 45 years, 3 months and 29 days. On February 21, 1892, she was united in marriage to George P. Mohr, and that same year located on a farm four and a half miles south of Victor. In March, 1897, they moved to Victor where Mr. Mohr entered the jewelry and piano business, in which father and sons are now engaged. In the fall of 1911, Mrs. Mohr left Victor because of her declining health, for Roswell, NM.; where with her daughter Lois she resided until death. When about the age of fifteen years Mrs. Mohr united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Hartford Center where she has always held her membership. Mrs. Mohr is survived by five children: Sidney, Paul, Russell, Waldo and Lois and grandson Vernal Lloyd, all of Victor, her mother Mrs. Sarah H. Hinder, six sisters, Mrs. Iva Gant, Dexter, IA., Miss Birdella Hinder, of Dexter; Mrs. E. H. Frey of Des Moines; Miss Christina Hinder of Alliance, OH., Mrs. Sadie Baldwin of Perry, IA., Mrs. Sydona Hanes, of Des Moines; two brothers, Otto of Victor and Orville Hinder of Greeley, CO. Mrs. Mohr was a woman of strong character with a winning personality. As a mother she was devoted to her children. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and many friends. The funeral services were conducted in the Methodist Episcopal church on Wednesday, July 8, 1914, at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. --------------------------------------------------- She was united in marriage to Geo. P. Mohr on 2/21/1892. Moved to Victor in March, 1897 where Mr. Mohr entered the jewelry and piano business. The fall of 1911 Mrs. Mohr left Victor because of declining health for Roswell, NM where she lived with her daughter Lois until her death. She is buried separate from Geo. Mohr as Felica Hinder. ---------------------------------------------------- Marriage note in local newspaper: Mr. George P. Mohr, of Lincoln township, and Miss Felicia Hinder of Hartford township, were married Feb. 21, 1892. We have known these young people for a number of years and heartily join in the congratulations and well wishes.
