Description	:	Siena Hawkins age 85 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away Thursday March 10, 2016 at Dougherty Hospice. Family will greet friends 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday March 15, at Miller Funeral Home 507 S. Main Ave. Funeral services begin at 10:30 am at Wildflower Presbyterian Church, 4800 E. 6th St., with burial at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Siena Dammer, daughter of Antko and Sadie Dammer, was born July 27, 1930 in Sibley, Iowa. She married Dale E. Hawkins on September 12, 1948. Siena worked at John Morrell up until the birth of her sons. She loved her family dearly, especially all children. Siena would want to hold all the babies she saw, even if she did not know the parents. During her time as a stay at home mom, she babysat, ironed clothes, and crocheted many wonderful memories. Siena supported Dale and their sons through the many years they were involved in the Bantam Baseball program. She was a member of Wildflower Presbyterian Church. Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Jim (Fonda) Hawkins, Harrisburg, SD, and her daughter in-law, Janice Hawkins, Fairbanks, AK, Mike (Heidi) Hawkins, Sioux Falls, Bill (Kristy) Hawkins, Colman, SD, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; her brothers, George (Jackie) Dammer, and Carl Darlene) Dammer, both of Sioux Falls, and many nieces and nephews. Siena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale of 56 years, a son Robert Joseph, and her sisters, Mary, Jenny, Jane and brother Sievert.
