Description	:	Sigurd Holtan, 92, of 304 Burlington Ave., died Sunday in Western Manor Nursing Home. Born in Modum, Norway, the son of Olie and Karen Holtan, he came to Wisconsin with his parents in 1901. On Dec. 8, 1926, he married Edna Bjerkan in Minot, N.D. They lived for a short time in Duluth, Minn., and then farmed in Wisconsin. They later owned and operated a hardware store in Rolette, N.D. Read More	Sigurd Holtan, 92, of 304 Burlington Ave., died Sunday in Western Manor Nursing Home. Born in Modum, Norway, the son of Olie and Karen Holtan, he came to Wisconsin with his parents in 1901. On Dec. 8, 1926, he married Edna Bjerkan in Minot, N.D. They lived for a short time in Duluth, Minn., and then farmed in Wisconsin. They later owned and operated a hardware store in Rolette, N.D. In 1948 they moved to Billings where he worked as a carpenter until he retired in 1955. A veteran of World War I, he was a life member of Military Order of the Purple Heart and was awarded the purple heart for injuries received in France in World War I. He was also a member of the Ashler Lodge and a life member of York Rite. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Orley I. of Slippery Rock, Pa., and Ron K. of Billings; and one granddaughter.
