Description	:	SIMON GAITHER DEAD Simon Gaither, a Civil war veteran, died this morning at his home, 210 Constitution. He was knocked down by a motorcar four weeks ago, and never recovered from the shock. Mr. Gaither was born 86 years ago near Bloomington, Ind., and had lived in Kansas since 1868. Upon coming to Kansas, Mr. Gaither settled in Americus, and came from there to Emporia 14 years ago. Surviving Mr. Gaither are Mrs. Gaither and nine children. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Dumm chapel. Rev. C. F. Hoffman, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the Americus cemetery.
