Description	:	Simon William Haley Simon William (Bill) Haley, 87, of Villisca. was born April 18, 1903, to Simon and Annie Ensign Haley on a farm north of Nodaway, and died Aug. 22, 1990, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. On Sept. 26, 1927, he married Helen Viola Ruth in Corning. They lived in the Nodaway area most of their lives until moving to Villisca in the fall of 1988. Read More	Simon William Haley Simon William (Bill) Haley, 87, of Villisca. was born April 18, 1903, to Simon and Annie Ensign Haley on a farm north of Nodaway, and died Aug. 22, 1990, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. On Sept. 26, 1927, he married Helen Viola Ruth in Corning. They lived in the Nodaway area most of their lives until moving to Villisca in the fall of 1988. He farmed, hauled coal, was a janitor at the Nodaway School, and was Janitor with his wife for over 20 years at the Adams County Courthouse in Corning. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers. Frank, Tom, Floyd, Paul, Clifford, Chester and Bob; one sister, Gladys Houck; a son Floyd; a grandson, Larry Haley; and a great-grandson Christopher Skow. He is survived by his wife Helen of Villisca: a daughter Becky Bailey and her husband Frank of Villisca; a son, Michael Haley and his wife Marge of Exira; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four sisters. Ruby Hunter of Phoenix, Ariz; Mary Agnew of Troutdale, Ore., Leona Thompson of Elliott, and Nellie Snethen of Corning; and one daughter-in-law, Virginia Haley of Nodaway. Services were held Aug. 24 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca with the Rev. Alfred Hunter officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Haley Jr., Bill Haley, Terry Haley, Gary Haley. Larri Vais and Joey Vais. Honorary bearers were Steve Skow, Tom McGovern, Roger Vais, Raymond Spring. Orville Mitchell, Otto Heard, Bill Victor and Ron Nielsen. Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery.
