After Rebecca died Solomon married Mary Ferris Bickley who also had six children. Solomon and Mary had three more so altogether there were 15 children. The place passed from the Moores to the Baysore family that gave its name to the road that eventually became Red Bird Lane. At the junction of Given and Indian Hill Roads District #9 school was built in 1853 on land leased for 100 years from Solomon Moore. 25 Joseph Highlands was a director of the school. The building still stands having had a number of alternative uses including as a residence and a store. _____ *Originally buried in the Indian Hill Old Baptist Churchyard (aka Little Miami Baptist Churchyard), located on Old Indian Hill Road (near Wooster Pike) in the Village of Terrace Park, Hamilton County, Ohio. By an act of Congress on March 3, 1834, one and three-eighths acres of land were granted to the Baptist Church for a cemetery. When the cemetery was abandoned, the graves were said to be moved to the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford in Clermont County, but they have no records to that effect. Thank you to Joseph Haas, findagrave member #47828434, for locating the marker for Solomon which was in the Saint Thomas Church Columbarium and adding photos of this and other markers he found there. _____ From Jean Morrison #47895907: After the death of Rebecca, Solomon married Ann (Ferris) Beekley, born 4 Dec 1799 in Hamilton County, Ohio, widow of Henry Beekley. Ann was the daughter of Eliphalet and Catherine (Knapp) Ferris, who came to Hamilton County in late 1799. Members of Solomon's family were buried in the Indian Hill Old Baptist Churchyard, and when it was abandoned, extant stones were moved to the St Thomas Episcopal Church, in neighboring Terrace Park, Hamilton County, Ohio, and are now located in the church's Columbarium. Ann (Ferris) Beekley Moore was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford, Clermont County, Ohio. She died 2 May 1878, funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Milford 5 May 1878, with burial following. In Greenlawn Cemetery, Sec. 10, there is a tall obelisk monument to Ann Moore; several of her children, and children of Solomon and Rebecca are buried close by. (Also Highlands, McGill, Drake, and others.) For unknown reasons, registers of these early burials are not available at the cemetery office.
