At age 16, she came to the United States and settled in Chicago, Ill. She worded there as a waitress until her married to Felix Zurovski on Jan. 29, 1910, in Chicago. They moved to the Krakow area in 1918, then to a farm southwest of St. Edward i 1919. Felix died in 1964 and Sophie lived in her home in St. Edward until 1990 when she entered the Clover Lodge Care Center. Survivors include three sons, Edward of St. Edward, Leo of Albion, and Stanley of Ventura, Calif.; on daughter, Louise (Mrs. Robert) Greenlaw of Marshville, Wis.; one sister, Katherine Depukat of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Felix; one son and one daughter; an infant granddaughter and a grandson; three sisters and nine brothers.
