Description	:	Sophia Olive Sessions was born to Mr. and Mrs. Warren Sessions in the State of Vermont on March 27, 1834, and died in Correctionville, Iowa, December 16, 1916, having attained the age of 82 years, 8 months and 19 days. On September 13, 1855, she married Asa Joslyn at Worcester, Massachusetts. About two years following their marriage they left for the west, locating at State Center, Story Co., Iowa, in the year 1857. Read More	Sophia Olive Sessions was born to Mr. and Mrs. Warren Sessions in the State of Vermont on March 27, 1834, and died in Correctionville, Iowa, December 16, 1916, having attained the age of 82 years, 8 months and 19 days. On September 13, 1855, she married Asa Joslyn at Worcester, Massachusetts. About two years following their marriage they left for the west, locating at State Center, Story Co., Iowa, in the year 1857. While living here Mr. Joslyn enlisted in the service of his country, serving three years in the Civil War. Shortly after his return they moved westward, locating in Sioux Co., Iowa, being one of the first settlers in that part of the country. In 1888 they moved to Pierson and it was at this place that Mrs. Joslyn was bereft of her husband in the year 1900. Shortly following his death she moved to Ida Grove to be near her children and later came to Correctionville, locating here about four years ago. The deceased was the mother of three children, Franklin A. of Correctionville, Warren G. of Pierson and Alice E. who died in early childhood. She became a member of the Methodist Church in her girlhood and had since been a faithful member. She is buried in Good Hope Cemetery.
