Description	:	Warren George Joslyn, son of Asa and Sophia Sessions Joslyn, was born at Boyden, Iowa, March 31, 1874, and passed away December 4, 1939, aged 65 years, 8 months and 3 days. He had been in declinging health for many months. Mr. Joslyn moved to Woodbury County when a lad of 17, residing with his parents on a farm near Pierson. Read More	Warren George Joslyn, son of Asa and Sophia Sessions Joslyn, was born at Boyden, Iowa, March 31, 1874, and passed away December 4, 1939, aged 65 years, 8 months and 3 days. He had been in declinging health for many months. Mr. Joslyn moved to Woodbury County when a lad of 17, residing with his parents on a farm near Pierson. He married Cora Mae Collins at Pierson on October 23, 1894. Three daughters were born to them, Florence Merriman of Pierson, Lela Bendinger of Sioux City and Emma May who died in infancy. He began farming for himself near Pierson. In 1929 he moved to a home in Correctionville. He is survived by his widow, Cora, two daughters, seven grandchildren, one brother, Frank Joslyn, and one nephew, Frank Joslyn, Jr.. Mr. Joslyn joined the Methodist church at Pierson in 1896 and remained a faithful member until his death. He was always active in public affairs and everything worthwhile for the betterment of his community. He served on the trustee board for eleven years, was a constable for two years, and president of the Union Township Farm Bureau for many years. He served as night marshal at Woodbury County Fair in Moville the past nine years. His health began to fail about five years ago and he has been in serious health the past two years. On November 16th he was removed to St. Vincent Hospital in Sioux City where everything possible was done but to no avail. His entire family and brother were at his bedside when the end came. Short services were held in the home and at the Wilson-Hull Funeral Home with Rev. E.C. Boom of Colo, Iowa, a former pastor of the local Evangelical church and a close friend of the family, officiating, assisted by Rev. Philip Hahn, pastor of the local Evangelical church. Burial was made in Good Hope Cemetery.
