Description	:	SOPHIE R. MUTCHLER, 91, of Ashland, died Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2013 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Mutchler was born October 22, 1921 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Parimuha) Vanecho. On November 11, 1942 she married Lawrence F. Mutchler, and he died May 14, 1954. She was a retired assembler for Hydramatic Pump Company for 13 years, retiring in 1986, and had also worked at the Ken Oberholtzer Egg Farm. MUTCHLER, 91, of Ashland, died Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2013 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Mutchler was born October 22, 1921 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Parimuha) Vanecho. On November 11, 1942 she married Lawrence F. Mutchler, and he died May 14, 1954. She was a retired assembler for Hydramatic Pump Company for 13 years, retiring in 1986, and had also worked at the Ken Oberholtzer Egg Farm. Mrs. Mutchler was an Ashland resident since 2005 moving from her Vermillion Township farm where she had lived since 1951. She served as a tutor for several years in the Hayesville Elementary Schools. She loved traveling around the country and had visited nearly all fifty states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Mrs. Mutchler was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church, Ashland, and was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Loudonville for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Searchlight Club of Hayesville and the Ashland Senior Citizens. In 1962 she was honored with the Ashland County Mother of the Year Award. She is survived by 1 son: Larry (Linda Lue) Mutchler of Shenendoah; 3 daughters: Donna Dalton of Coal Grove, Mary Lochmandy of Ashland, and Jackie Mutchler of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons: David Mutchler in 2002, and Dan Mutchler in 2012; her son-in-law, Curtis Alan Dalton in 2001, a grandson Logan Busch in 2006, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church, Loudonville, with Rev. Vincent Hawk officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, October 13 from 2-5 p.m. in LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME, LOUDONVILLE. The family request memorials be given to St. Peter Catholic Church, 220 East Butler Street, Loudonville, Ohio, 44842.
