Description	:	Services Held for Stanley C. Floden Stanley C. Floden, 74, of Huxley, died of a heart attack Tuesday, October 4 in Rochester, MN. A memorial service was held at 10.30 a.m., Saturday, October 8 at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. Rev. Merlin Norris officiated. Kim Andrews, Stanley's Granddaughter, was the soloist. The body has been cremated. Obituary Mr. Floden was born in Swea City on August 28, 1914 to Jacob and Anna (Sydnes) Floden. He was united in marriage to Louise Jennings on December 2, 1933. He farmed in Huxley and Slater areas for 20 years, where he was also involved in 4-H and Farm Bureau. He was the manager of the Egg Processing Plant in Slater from 1956 to 1961. He then worked for Farmland Industries in Clear Lake, Eagle Grove, and LaJunta, CO. He returned to Madrid in 1972, where he managed the Plains Poultry Farm. He retired in 1978 to Huxley. He was active in the Huxley Senior Citizens, where he served on the board, and in building the annex to the Huxley Shelter House, and was on the RSVP Board for Story County. He was active in Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley, where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; two infant brothers; one infant sister; a son-in-law, John P. Ozmun; and a great-grandson, David J. Ozmun. Contributor: Oz
