Stanley had moved to Paris, Texas and resided at Springlake Assisted Living. Stanley was born April 5, 1927, in Cozad, Nebraska to Soren and Anna (Rasmussen) Knudsen. Stanley married Jean Louise Allaway on June 26, 1949, in Homer, Nebraska. He was a member of the United States Navy and proudly served in World War II and the Korean War. He graduated from the Waltham School of Watchmaking in Boston, MA and was a watchmaker and jeweler. He owned and operated Knudsen's Jewelry in Lexington, NE for 36 years. Known for his custom jewelry designs, he enjoyed sharing his creations with others. Stanley was active in his church, community leadership, civic organizations, antique car club, and was the past president of the Nebraska and South Dakota Jewelers Association. He enjoyed riding horses, playing tennis, golfing, sailing, skiing, and working/playing on the family "Ponderosa". Above all, he treasured his relationships with family and friends. Stan was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He was always giving of himself and available to anyone in need. Stanley is survived by: daughters and their husbands, Kathy & Al Schneider of Ashland, NE and Jane and Arthur Tijerina of Paris, TX. Grandchildren: Nathan and wife Sarah Schneider, Kip and wife Julie Schneider, Brooke Schneider, Nicole Tijerina, Ryan Tijerina, Lauren and husband Brian Temple, Leslie Stenberg, Danese and husband Dustin Zander, and Adrienne and husband Geoff Grubb. Great-grandchildren: Katie & Emily Kjendal, Abby Schneider, Liviana Schneider, Alex, Jacob & Erin Stenberg, and Evan Sophia Zander; sister-in-law, Glorida Knudsen; and many fond nieces and nephews. Stanley is preceded in death by his wife in 2006, parents and four brothers. Inurnment was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Dawson County, NE.
