Stanley, son of John and Frances Kuslicki Piontkowski was born on a farm in Howard County Sept. 18, 1887. He attended school at Choynice. On May 27, 1918 he enlisted in the U. S. Army. After his training, on Aug. 11, 1918, he went overseas and fought in the Houte Alsace and Toul sectors with the Army Expeditionary Forces. He returned and was discharged from the Army June 5, 1919. He came to Sherman Co. and worked as a well driller and repair man until Sep 11 1957 when he entered the Veterans hospital. He was there until his death Dec 6, 1959. Survivors are: sisters, Mrs. Maggie Krolikowski, Cairo, Mrs. Nora Sekutera, Loup City, Mrs. Rose Frederick, Ravenna, Mrs. Theresa Mendyk, Ashton, Mrs. Minnie Kowalski, Loup City and Mrs. Kattie Zoueka, Hetisboro, Oregon.
