Description	:	Funeral mass will be Friday, for Stanley Larson, 85, Madison, who died Oct. 16, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in DeSmet. Services will be held at St. William's Catholic Church in Ramona, and burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery at Madison. Military honors will be by the Ramona American Legion. Larson was born at Bryant on Aug. 7, 1922 to Andrew and Helen (Kazmerak) Larson. He married Shirley Garrey at DeSmet on Sept. 28, 1952. He grew up on the family farm in Bryant. After graduating from Irwin High School he served as a combat medic during W.W.II. He received a Purple Heart for being wounded in Germany. After the service he worked on the railroad. He managed the Ramona Bar for over 30 years. They moved to Madison in 2002. He was a member of the Ramona American Legion and Knight of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Madison; one son, Mark (Mary) of Rochester, Minn.; two daughters, Deborah (Dave) Mavity of Sioux Falls and Rhonda (David) Hite of Little River, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Shannon Larson of Pierre; eight grandchildren; one brother, James of DeSmet; two sisters, Gertrude Guse of Pierre and Margaret Cronkite of DeSmet. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gregory in 2003 and four brothers. The Weiland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
