Stanley was born on September 1, 1928, to Phillip Jr. and Marie (Campbell) Steinhauer on the Campbell farm just north of Sutton, NE. Stan attended Sutton Public Schools and graduated in 1946. He worked for Jacob Bender & Sons for a short time and farmed with his father. Stanley was united in marriage to Betty Nowka on March 4, 1954, at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE. To this union three boys were born. Stan enjoyed farming and raising cattle with his boys, and the occasional cup of coffee at many of the local businesses throughout his day. He also had a love for horses and was one of the founders of the Tri County Rounder’s Saddle Club. Stanley is survived by his wife, Betty; his three sons, Craig Steinhauer and wife Tammie; Kent Steinhauer and wife Felicia; Brian Steinhauer and wife Carey all of Sutton; eight grandchildren, Brooke Steinhauer; Lane Steinhauer (Kristin); Kody Steinhauer (Julie); Macy Burback (Steven); Drew Steinhauer; Tymerie Steinhauer; Shane Steinhauer and Adrien Follum; five great-grandchildren, Hensley Steinhauer; Kamryn Steinhauer; Kooper Steinhauer; Jensyn Steinhauer and Elly Burback; sisters-in-law, Ruth Steinhauer and JoAnn Gable; cousins, Janis Peter; Seatta Swanson; Charlotte Fehr (Campbell); Jon Campbell and Marilyn Campbell. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; Brother, Roger Steinhauer; and Brother-in-law, Don Gable.
