Description	:	Stanley Ray Dickenson was the third of six children of Wilfred Arthur Dickenson & Doris Elaine Coulter. Not quite age two, he died in a tragic accident in the corncrib on the family farm while playing with his sisters Joyce and Linda. He is buried next to his great-great-grandparents, George & Elizabeth (Keller) Crecelius in plot two at Conrad Cemetery west of Conrad, Iowa. Next to Stanley lies a cousin who died young: Verne Alonzo Crecelius, son of Charles M. & Minnie (Lamer) Crecelius; born 11 Apr 1892; died 25 Apr 1892. A personal memory: Stanley was my nephew. I was five days shy of seven when he died. His funeral in a Marshalltown, Iowa, funeral home was the first one I recall being allowed to attend. My mother was hospitalized in Deaconess Hospital in Marshalltown, but she wanted to pay her respects to her step-grandson, so she hired a taxi to transport her to the funeral home, where she had the cab driver wheel her in a wheelchair to the back of the room where the services were held. I was sitting in front with my father and my siblings. When the service ended, I was surprised--and happy--to find my beloved mother in a wheelchair at the back of the room. My father paid for the funeral and for the burial at Conrad. Decades later, Stanley's older sister Linda bought a nice headstone to mark his grave.
