Read More	ARCHER, STELLA BELLE — Stella Belle Archer passed away at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva, August 13, 1968, after a lingering illness of seven and one-half months. She was aged 80 years, six months and 25 days. Stella Belle Davis was born February 18, 188, in Sterling, Neb. She was educated and grew to womanhood in that vicinity. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Francis Davis, being one of six children, having two sisters and three brothers. All of them preceded her in death. September 6, 1905, she was united in marriage to Frank Archer and to this union were born two sons, Merl E. of Geneva and Francis O. of Dannville, Cal. The family lived in Alexandria 12 years. In December, 1935, Mr. and Mrs. Archer located in Enid, Okla., where they resided until October, 1942, when they moved to Geneva, Neb., where they made their final home. Mr. Archer passed away in December, 1948. Mrs. Archer was a member of the Geneva Methodist church and the Woman’s Society of Christian Service. She taught in Sunday school many years, taking great pride in her class. She was a regular attendant at services as long as she was able. Her cheery disposition and kindly ways will be missed by all who knew her. She was always thinking of others, helping those she could. Mrs. Archer is survived by two sons and their wives, great granddaughters, a step-granddaughter, a step-grandson, five step-great-grandchildren, a number of nephews and nieces, other relatives and a wide circle of friends. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a. m. Friday, August 16, at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva. Rev. Delano Spitzer officiated. Mrs. H. A. Rosenau sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Mrs. Melvin Olson was accompanist. Pallbearers were Henry Thole, Ben D. Fussell, W. L. Hallman, Joe Moravec, Henry Steinacher and Cecil Fox.
