The Rev. Richard Kienitz, pastor of the Evangelical Church of North America, officiated, and burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Mrs. Ryan was born Jan. 12, 1883, in Phelps, Mo., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ford. She spent her early life and attended schools in Lockwood, Mo. She later taught in the area. April 29, 1905, she was married to Charles W. Ryan in Lockwood. In 1911, they moved to Belgrade, where they ranched. In 1916 they moved to Big Timber where they ranched until 1920 at which time they moved to Big Timber, where Mr. Ryan operated a meat market. In 1942, they moved to Shepherd. She was proceeded in death by her husband, who died in June 1961, and a son, Afton Ryan who died in 1950. In 1962, she moved to Salt Lake City and lived with her daughter until 1964 when she moved back to Big Timber. She was a member of the Evangelical Church of North America and the Ladies Aid, a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Senior Citizens. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Conrow, Salt Lake City; two brothers; W. E. Ford, Logansport Ind., and Raymond Ford, Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Casket bearers were George Lamach, E. A. Bieber, Ray Traver, Sid Huyser, Joe Hansen, and Jim Scholten. Soloist was David Roys and organist was Mrs. Jim Scholten.
