She was born July 28, 1924, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Wildermuth) Gross who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1948, she married Roy M. Kohler, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2012. She was born July 28, 1924, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Wildermuth) Gross who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1948, she married Roy M. Kohler, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2012. Survivors include two sisters: Edna O'Quinn, Sidney, Ohio, and Opal Markley, Jackson Center, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Brubaker, Cridersville, Ohio, and Betty Weaver, St. Marys, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Luella Wittenbrink, Erma Long and Clara Shroyer; and two brothers: John and Roy Gross. Stella worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber, St. Marys, retiring after 37 years of service. She was a ladies auxiliary member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 767, St. Marys. Stella and her husband Roy enjoyed taking bus trips to casinos. While working at Goodyear, she was selected to take a ride in the Goodyear blimp. She enjoyed working in her yard, playing bingo, crocheting, and being with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Celina Manor and State of the Heart Hospice for the loving care they provided to Stella. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (state Route 501), Wapakoneta, with Pastor Mark Bauer officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the State of the Heart Hospice. Condolences may be expressed at www.bayliffandeleyfh.com.
