COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 04/08/2011 – FLOYDS KNOBS ANDRES - Stephen Anthony, 59, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Steve was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Steve spent 50 years of his life in the loving care of his parents and shaped the lives forever of his beloved brothers, sisters, their spouses and extended family. COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 04/08/2011 – FLOYDS KNOBS ANDRES - Stephen Anthony, 59, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Steve was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Steve spent 50 years of his life in the loving care of his parents and shaped the lives forever of his beloved brothers, sisters, their spouses and extended family. His last nine years were spent with the kind caregivers of ResCare and Rauch. Steve is survived by his parents, Paul & Helen (Engle) Andres of Floyds Knobs; brothers, Ron (Cindy), John (Janis), Mike (Denice), David (Jan) and Chuck (Sarah); and sisters, Rosie Donner (Allen), Kathy Martin (Jim) and Donna Swartz (Vic); along with 19 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous loving members of the Andres and Engle families. He was preceded in death by his godparents, Melvin Engle and Virginia Kersten; as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be from noon - 8 p.m. on Sunday April 10, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a prayer service at 4 p.m. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Junior and Senior High School-Learning Support Program, Rauch Industries, or WHAS Crusade for Children.

He died Thursday, April 7, 2011. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. He spent 50 years of his life in the loving care of his parents and shaped the lives forever of his beloved brothers, sisters, their spouses and extended family. His last nine years were spent with the kind caregivers of ResCare and Rauch. Survivors include his parents, Paul & Helen Engle Andres, of Floyds Knobs; brothers, Ron & his wife, Cindy, John & his wife, Janis, Mike & his wife, Denice, David & his wife, Jan and Chuck & his wife, Sarah; and sisters, Rosie Donner & her husband, Allen, Kathy Martin & her husband, Jim and Donna Swartz & her husband, Vic; along with 19 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; and numerous loving members of the Andres and Engle families.
