Description	:	Enterprise, Kansas Steven D. Karl 62, passed away Tuesday, June 18th, in Abilene. He was born February 26, 1951 in Junction City, the son of George E. and Modene (Haynes) Karl. Growing up in the Enterprise/Detroit community he attended local schools, graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1969 and attended Salina Vocational Technical Collage. On October 23, 1976, he married Jacque Lynn Burns in Enterprise. Most all of their married life has been spent farming in the Enterprise area. Karl 62, passed away Tuesday, June 18th, in Abilene. He was born February 26, 1951 in Junction City, the son of George E. and Modene (Haynes) Karl. Growing up in the Enterprise/Detroit community he attended local schools, graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1969 and attended Salina Vocational Technical Collage. On October 23, 1976, he married Jacque Lynn Burns in Enterprise. Most all of their married life has been spent farming in the Enterprise area. Steve had been employed by Ehrsam's Foundry and showed Cattle on the road before becoming a partner, farming with his brother Larry. He was preceded in death by a son, Jesse, his parents and a sister Janice Karl. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association and the Dickinson County Cattle Producers. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 24th, at the Enterprise Untied Methodist Church with Pastor Sue Talbot and John Marks officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery south of Enterprise. The family will receive friends 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to the Steve Karl Memorial Fund, to be designated at a later date.
