Description	:	Stouten C. Sterling Mr. Stouten C. Sterling, prominent and highly respected retired seafood packer and in his younger days a waterman, died at his home in the Calvary section last Saturday afternoon, Nov. 6th. He was 86 years of age. He was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Nelson Sterling, and the husband of Mrs. Willie Catherine Sterling, of this city. Read More	Stouten C. Sterling Mr. Stouten C. Sterling, prominent and highly respected retired seafood packer and in his younger days a waterman, died at his home in the Calvary section last Saturday afternoon, Nov. 6th. He was 86 years of age. He was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Nelson Sterling, and the husband of Mrs. Willie Catherine Sterling, of this city. Mr. Sterling was one of the best known and most highly regarded of the community's elder residents. He had been a handler of seafood of all kinds all his life, and was an expert in this business. He was a kindly and courteous man who liked his fellow men and in the years of his long life had performed many acts of kindness in an unostentatious manner. A man of high principles and of energy and industrious, he had had a successful career and the late years of his life were pleasant. On August 16th of this year Mr. Sterling and his wife quietly celebrated the 65th anniversary of their wedding, and it seemed then that he had a number of years in which to continue the happiness that had been theirs for so long. He reposed at the Covington Funeral Home until noon Tuesday, when he was taken to Asbury Methodist Church, where funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Leslie E. Werner. Interment was in Asbury cemetery. Bearers were Kenneth William Holland, Jr., John Riggin, Arlie Riggin, Elmer Riggin and Richard Morris. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Willie Catherine Sterling, four daughters, Miss Lillie Sterling, Mrs. Elmer Ward, Mrs. Harry Helsby, all of Crisfield, and Mrs. Charles Sterling of Baltimore, one son, Gordon C.
