Description	:	Stuart B. Schoonover, 74, of Belington Rt. 2, was declared dead on arrival at Broaddus Hospital at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 1978. He was born February 3, 1904, a son of the late Bryan and Emily Bolyard Schoonover. Surviving are his wife, Dessie England Schoonover, whom he married May 3, 1924; two sons, Glen Schoonover of Belington, Rt. 2 and Gerald Schoonover of Leavittsburg, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Fax (Carol) Hillyard of Elyria, Ohio and Mrs. Eugene (Joan) Everson of Belington Rt.2; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Dessie England Schoonover, whom he married May 3, 1924; two sons, Glen Schoonover of Belington, Rt. 2 and Gerald Schoonover of Leavittsburg, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Fax (Carol) Hillyard of Elyria, Ohio and Mrs. Eugene (Joan) Everson of Belington Rt.2; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One daughter and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. Schoonover was retired from the Chevrolet Division, General Motors Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, and was a farmer. He was a member of Belington Lodge 125 AF&AM; Tygart Valley Chapter 39, RAM; Belington Chapter 68, OES; Belington Lodge 73, IOOF; Tygart Valley Encampment 28, and Belington Tygart Valley Rebekah Lodge 181. He was of the Baptist faith. Final rites were held on Tuesday, February 7, at 4 p.m., in Belington, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Cook officiating. Interment was in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery with gravesite rites by Belington Lodge 125 AF&AM. Service by Belington Lodge 73, IOOF, was held at 8 p.m. on Monday February 6.
