Susan Alice Smith, daughter of Joshua and Mary Zentmeyer Smith, was born in Henry County, June 23, 1858 and was married to J. J. Morrow on March 3, 1881. She had resided in New London for the past 14 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 6 children, Fred, Harvey, Arthur, all of New London; Mrs. Anna Strain of Geneva, Nebraska, Harlan J. Morrow of Columbus, Nebraska; Mrs. Gladys Ball of Middletown, a niece, Mrs. Mary Hawn Ball at home, four sisters, Mrs. Jacob Schlarbaum, Mrs. Jacob Sinn, Miss Della Smith, all of Henry County and Miss Ora Smith of Glenwood, Iowa, and four brothers, Jacob, Charles, Max, and Ed Smith all of Henry County. The body was brought in the Elliott Funeral Home and will be taken to the Harvey Morrow residence Thursday morning. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Richwood Church, five miles northwest of Mt. Pleasant, preceded by short services at the home at 1 o'clock. Rev. B. H.
