Susan, 65, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was born October 16, 1954 in Pineville to the union of Melrose Johnson and Dorothy Leyser Bellard. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked at the sewing factory. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She is preceded in death by her father, Melrose Johnson; her husband, Bobby Thompson; two sons, Paul Matthew Thompson and Lance Thompson. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Dawn Thompson, Cynthia Thompson, Katie Thompson, Mark Thompson of Glenmora, Eric (Katie) Thompson of Union Hill and Jason Thompson of Colfax; three sisters, Jean Lowe of Oakdale, Linda Smith of Pineville and Annette Bellard of Shreveport; two brothers, Kenny Bellard of Shreveport and Bobby Bellard of Eunice; grandchildren, Daulton Thompson, Joseph Perkins, Easton Thompson, Noah “Charlie Boy” Fee, Megan Perkins, Amber Perkins, Chelsea Perkins and Maddie Thompson; along with a host of family and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be Mark Thompson, Eric Thompson, Jason Thompson, Josh Thompson and Kevin Thompson. Visitation will be held at the Union Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. The family would like to express a special thank you to: Colfax Reunion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Staff, Christus St. Francis Cabrini Staff, Fresenius Kidney Care Pineville Staff and Rapides Trauma and Critical Surgical ICU team for their support and kindness. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19 in Louisiana, family and friends are limited to 10 people during the visitation and at the gravesite.
