BARNHART DEAD Centropolis Woman Ill Two Years - Funeral at 1 p.m. Tomorrow Mrs. Susan Catherine Barnhart, wife of William Riley Barnhart, of two miles southwest of Centropolis, died yesterday afternoon at 5:35 o'clock at the home. She had been ill two years, death resulting from cancer. The deceased was nearly 64 years old. Susan C. Whisler was born in Springfield, Ohio, January 9, 1866. She was married November 30, 1886 at Willow Springs, Kans., to Mr. Barnhart. The husband, two sons and four daughters, a sister, a brother, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. The children are Amos A. Barnhart, Clarence C. Barnhart, and Mrs. Anna A. Crumpacker, all of Ottawa; Mrs. Effie E. Gish, Pomona; Mrs. Minnie M. Michael, Overbrook, and Mrs. Orpha O. Wright, Topeka. Mrs. Barnhart came here 43 years ago from Douglas County. She was a member of the Old German Baptist Church. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from Eight Mile Church, with Elder Dan Flory officiating. Interment is to be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
