Francisco died after an illness of about one week. The direct cause of her death was paralysis, but she has been in failing health for some time because of age. She was born in West Virginia in 1812. She married about 1830 to Jacob Sigafoose. To them were born nine children of whom only two survive, John and Lewis, both of this place. Mr. Sigafoose died about 1850. Mrs. Sigafoose was married to N. H. Francisco in 1860. For the past ten years they lived near South English, but moved to Washington a few months ago. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home. Interment willbe in the old cemetery. The bereaved family and friends have the sympathy of the community. ------ Although the dates are not exact, this is the obit that appeared in the paper, now stored on microphishe. I also searched for a gravestone in Woodlawn Cemetery, but could not find one. There is a note in the Woodlawn Cemetery book that lists her name as being requested for a burial permit in Washington, Woodlawn Cemetery, Section C, but no gravestone was found when a survey was done in 1998-99. I believe either her grave was unmarked, possibly destroyed, or is no longer readable. UPDATE SEPT 2, 2016 - In researching Henry and Lydia Lease (Susan's parents), I discovered that the sections in Woodlawn Cemetery were renumbered to make a survey in 1999 easier to conduct. I found the gravestone for Susan, who is buried next to her parents in Woodlawn Cemetery, Section B, Row 7, stone #449.
