| Description | : | 1870 Mortality Schedule: Cause of Death: Poison (Ansense). This is the history my mother's family has: "Susan Johnston had a tragic death as did her brother, William. She was at her brother's home and his wife had made soup. Both Susan and William died from taking this soup. It was detected there was strychnine in the soup, and suspicion was centered on William's wife as someone had seen her put a powder in it. Why she did it this never was solved and sometime later she and her young son left the community and her whereabouts were never known.... Read More |
