Description	:	Obituary. Mrs. Susan Rice died at her home in Beagle Friday evening, February 19, at 9:50 p. m., after an illness of ten days with intermittent and lung fever. Mrs. Rice was born in Missouri February 25th, 1833, and was 63 years, II months and 26 days of age at her death. She was married January 6th, 1858, to tbe late Henderson Rice. Mrs. Susan Rice died at her home in Beagle Friday evening, February 19, at 9:50 p. m., after an illness of ten days with intermittent and lung fever. Mrs. Rice was born in Missouri February 25th, 1833, and was 63 years, II months and 26 days of age at her death. She was married January 6th, 1858, to tbe late Henderson Rice. She united with the Christian church when quite young and always lived a consistant Christian life. Mrs. Rice was a kind neighbor and a loving mother. Besides her many friends, she leaves three daughters, two sons, five step-daughters and one step-son to mourn her death. The funeral was preached at the Meth odist church at 12 o'clock Monday, by Rev. Smith of Osawatomie. The remains were followed by a large concourse of friends and neighbors to the Mound Creek cemetery, where they were laid to rest by the side of her husband. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. "Dear mother, thou has left ne, And thy lues we deeply feel; Bat 'tis God who has bereft ns. He can all our sorrows heal.
