(Redding) Perry Susannah Redding Perry was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Redding of Michigan City, Ind. She was born Nov 11, 1851 and died on Friday morning at 10:25, Nov 9, 1934. Marvin D. Perry and Susannah Redding were married Aug 31, 1876 at Marshalltown, Iowa. They moved from Iowa to Copemish, Mich., in 1879. Except a few years spent at Michigan City, Ind., they have resided at Honor for the past 20 years. Aunt Susan, as she was known to all, and loved by all who knew her, was an active member of the Congregational church of Honor, and of the Eastern Star and the Relief Corp. She was a woman of noble character; a devoted wife and mother. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Marvin D. Perry; one son, Arthur Perry; one granddaughter, Mrs. Gerald Bonney; one great grandson, Gordon Bonney; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Stephens of Clinton, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ellen Redding, Honor; two brothers, Geo. Redding of Nebraska and Earl Redding of Kellogg, Idaho; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Honor Congregational church, Rev. Ainslie officiating. Mrs. B. G. Bennett and Mrs. Grace Palmer sang the hymns at the service. Interment was in Benzonia cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Redding, Mrs. John Boss, Mrs. Bert Palmer and daughter of Michigan City, Ind., attended the funeral of Mrs. Perry, Mr. Redding is a nephew of Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Boss is a niece.
