Silently as night was spreading her sable curtain o'er a busy world and throbbing nature sank to rest, kind friends, loving husband and children watched by the dying bed of Susan Dillon, wife of Abraham Dillon, and saw relentless death claim her for his own. She, who was the good Christian mother and faithful companion is today sleeping in the silent city of death and a rarely gifted soul has passed into the land of dreamless slumber. The deceased has lived here for thirteen years and was a victim of consumption. Besides the aged and sorrowing husband, those who are left to mourn the loss of "mother" are two daughters; Mrs. John Bovee and Mrs. Frank Johnson, sons; James and Irvin Dillon of this city and Grant Dillon of Richland Center, Wisconsin. She had been a devoted Christian since girlhood and was always interested in church work. Her husband and family have the warmest sympathy of the community in this sad hour.
