Evans on Rt 4, Southwest of the city, following a lingering illness of carcinoma. The deceased, a daughter of John and Mary Ullery. She was born in So Bend Ind. Sept 2, 1864, being 68 years and 2 days of age. Her husband, James D. Evans, died Oct 12, 1913. Survivors are Sam N. Evans, Rt 4. Mrs. Chris C. Aley, Chicago, Mrs. W.H. Ruby, McCune, Mrs. A.S.Bond, Detroit, also brothers: R.W. Ullery, Johnson Kansas, John Ullery, Girard, H.C. Ullery, Girard, F.P.Ullery, Mt. Hood, Oregon. Mrs. Evans moved to Ft. Scott 31 years ago from Parsons. She was a member of the Brethren Church. Devoted to her home and children, and leaves a host of friends. Funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10:a.m. at the Cheney Chapel. Conducted by the Rev. Levi Wood. Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery near McCune. Throughout the obit, Ulery is spelled Ullery.
