Death was caused by a paralyctic stroke she had suffered the week before and from which she had failed to rally.. She was born at Bradford, Ohio, August 24, 1855.. She was baptized in the Lutheran church near Bradford, but since coming to North Dakota had always attended the Methodist church.. Her education was received in the little red brick school house near her home. For a number of years she lived at Polo, Ill., where she did housework. On March 28, 1895, at Clarion, iowa, she was united in marriage to David S. Sheets. They had three daughters.. In the winter of 1903 they moved to North Dakota, located on a farm ten miles west of Lisbon where hey resided until they retired in the spring of 1919, moving into the village of Englevale.. She was preceded in death by her husband, a step-son and a step-daughter.. She leaves three daughters: Mrs. Ruth Weber and Mrs. Fern Allgood of Verona; Mrs. Ina Allgood of Englevale; her step-daughter, Mrs. Carrie Billings of Seattle, Wash., and her step-son, Wm. P. Sheets of George, Iowa.. There are two sisters: Mrs. A. K. Miller, Gettysburg, Ohio, Mrs. N. E. Copeland, Waterville, Kansas and six brothers: D.W. James, Albert, Michael, Henry and Hiram, all living near Bradford, Ohio.. There are also 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.. Funeral services were conducted Monday Afternoon at 2:00 from the Methodist church at Englevale by Rev. J. S. Wilds. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery at Lisbon beside her husband. Pallbearers were : J. T. Peterson, W. P. Keenan, August Wagner, Maitland Babcock, Ralph and Victor Humphrey.
