SUSIE GILBERT KEMP Mrs. Susie Gilbert Kemp, age 34 years, died at her home at North on Tuesday, July 5, after a short illness. Her death came as a shock to her loved ones and friends. She was a daughter of the late John W. Foster and Charlotte G. Foster, and was a member of Spring Hill Church. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday last at 3 p.m., and were conducted by Rev. G. B. Baldwin, assisted by Rev. H. L. Carr. Interment was made in Locust Grove Cemetery. The profuse tribute of beautiful flowers and unusually large attendance attested the esteem in which she was held. The pallbearers were Carroll, Melvin, Watie and Sidney Foster, Billy and Curtis Kemp. Honorary: Kearney Davis, Frank Dunston, Tommy Dunston, Floyd Bailey, Ira Lewis, Clinton Lewis, David Lewis, Yilson Fletcher, Seth Ewell and Walter Kemp. Mrs. Kemp is survived by her husband, E. B. Kemp; four children, Edna Kemp, Lena Kemp, Garnett Haynes Kemp, and an infant daughter, Susie Gloria Kemp, who is only three weeks old. Mrs. Kemp is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Charlotte Foster, of Nuttall; four brothers, Carroll Foster, of Wan; Melvin Foster, of Mathews; J. W. Foster, of North; and W. S. Foster, of Nuttall; and three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Bailey, of Wan; Mrs. Charlotte Fletcher, of Baltimore; and Mrs. Virginia Davis, of Blakes.
