Description	:	A telephone message to the Leatherman firm Monday evening about 8 o'clock stated Mrs. Susie Love, 38, wife of Lewis Love, former employee of the Nickel Plate railroad, had died at her home, 1603 West Monroe street, in Kokomo at 7:45 Monday evening. News of the death was a great shock to Tipton relatives and friends of Mrs. love, as they had not been advised of her serious illness, caused by complications following an attack of flu. News of the death was a great shock to Tipton relatives and friends of Mrs. love, as they had not been advised of her serious illness, caused by complications following an attack of flu. Funeral services are to be held at the home in Kokomo Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock and burial will be in Fairview cemetery, where both parents and a brother, Walter Jarrett, are buried. Mrs. Love was born on a farm north of Tipton but had resided in this city since a small child her father being a long time employee of the Lake Erie & Western railroad, serving for years as an inspector in the yards. The parents were Alonzo G. and Mary (Youngman) Jarrett, the mother dying in 1921 and the father several years later. A brother, Walter Jarrett, was drowned September 20, 1918, while in camp with the American forces. Mrs. Love was united in marriage to Lewis Love in Tipton 14 years ago, her husband at that time being employed in train services on the Peoria-Tipton diversion of the Lake Erie & Western railroad. He was furloughed several years ago and took employment with the Plate Glass works at Kokomo, the family removing to that city. Later the husband became a member of the Kokomo police force. Mrs. Love was a member of the Christian church of Tipton and was a splendid woman with many friends. Although having no children of her own she reared a child of her brother Clarence Jarrett, giving it the same mother love as if it was her own. Besides the husband, Mrs. Love is survived by a brother Clarence Jarrett, of Tipton and a sister, Miss Belle Jarrett, also of this city. A short prayer service will be held at the cemetery here Wednesday afternoon.
