Description	:	Suzanne Sibert Hoffman was born on August 12, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to Harlan and Ole (Petersen) Sibert. She grew up in Valley where she attended grade school and graduated from Valley High School in 1962. She attended Midland College for one year and Wayne State College for one year. As a young girl, Suzy enjoyed singing in the choir and in college she travelled to Europe with the Midland Acapella Choir. Read More	Suzanne Sibert Hoffman was born on August 12, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to Harlan and Ole (Petersen) Sibert. She grew up in Valley where she attended grade school and graduated from Valley High School in 1962. She attended Midland College for one year and Wayne State College for one year. As a young girl, Suzy enjoyed singing in the choir and in college she travelled to Europe with the Midland Acapella Choir. Suzy married Dale Hoffman on May 23, 1998 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington. They made their home in Bennington before moving to Omaha. Suzy worked in the insurance industry for State Farm and Mutual of Omaha before working at Pentagon Federal Credit Union until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed karaoke, reading mystery novels, bowling, singing in the church choir and playing cards. Suzy followed baseball and Nebraska football. She looked forward to family vacations and time with her grandchildren. Suzy was stubborn and outspoken and did not like it when people tried to speak for her. She enjoyed Italian food, pineapple and diet coke. Through all of her health problems, Suzy remained upbeat and positive. Suzy passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Nebraska Skilled Nursing Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 18 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Harlan and Ole, brother John and Husband Dale. Suzy is survived by her children Chris Volberding of Omaha, Nebraska, Rob Volberding of Omaha, Tammie Vinzant of Bertrand, Nebraska and Michael and Sara Hoffman of Omaha and five grandchildren Brittnee Vinzant, Destiney Vinzant, Alexandria Vinzant, & Reece (monkey boy) Vinzant, & Quintin Hoffman.
