Sylvia passed away at home in Wilson Creek, Wash., surrounded by family June 18, 2011. Read More	The Daily News Longview, Washington Friday, 24 June 2011 Sylvia Eileen Wilson Fisher Hickson was born in Woodland Nov. 24, 1943, to Charles F. and Addis M. Wilson. Sylvia passed away at home in Wilson Creek, Wash., surrounded by family June 18, 2011. She attended Kalama schools and worked at Burgerville in Woodland, the Columbia Inn Restaurant in Kalama and as a singer/bass guitarist in the Seattle area. In 1959 she married Donald R. Fisher in Seattle. They later divorced. She then married John Robert Hickson Sr., in 1974. Sylvia was out-going and friendly, kind and caring. Her personality drew others to her, made her special, and impossible to forget. Her favorite pastimes were traveling with John, family reunions around the holidays, camping, nature, painting and bird watching, especially hummingbirds. She also loved to sing, listen to music and watch her favorite shows, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Hickson Sr., at home; three children, Judy Ann Booth of Arlington, Ore., Malinda Marie Beausoleil of Fort Hood, Texas, and Johnny Robert Hickson Jr., of Fort Carson, Colo.; 11 cherished grandchildren, Angelena Marie Fisher Moore, Benjamin Michael Fisher, Tiffany Lynn Booth, Stephanie Ann Booth, Cailin Marie Hickson, Regan Nicole Hickson, Nevan Conner Hickson, Teagan Mackenzie Hickson, Nolan Riley Hickson, Amelia Rose Beausoleil, and Oscar Ryan Beausoleil; two great-grandchildren, Caden Duwayne Moore and Ryan William Moore; three brothers, Frank Wilson of Summer Duck, Va., and Clarence Wilson and Richard Wilson, both of Kalama; and two sisters, Mary Booth of Kalama and Esther Poe of Cathlamet. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first born son, Duwayne Charles Fisher in May of 1992; and her eldest sister, Dorothy Marie Davenport in July of 2004. Sylvia wished tokens of appreciation be made to the American Cancer Society. At her request, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Smart Cremations, Redmond, Wash., and her ashes will one day be joined with her husband's to be scattered in a special location. "May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine upon your face and the rain fall soft upon your field, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand."
