Description	:	Silvia Emma Helene Staehr age 96 of Lincoln, NE formerly of Waco, NE died Friday, November 2, 2012 at Lincoln. She was born April 28, 1916 at rural Waco to Herman and Catherine (Tieken) Kruse. Silvia was a 50 plus year resident of Lincoln where she was formerly employed at the Veteran's Hospital. Prior to that she worked for Russell Stover's Candies for several years. Silvia was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln and enjoyed quilting, pinochle, drinking coffee and her garden. Read More	Silvia Emma Helene Staehr age 96 of Lincoln, NE formerly of Waco, NE died Friday, November 2, 2012 at Lincoln. She was born April 28, 1916 at rural Waco to Herman and Catherine (Tieken) Kruse. Silvia was a 50 plus year resident of Lincoln where she was formerly employed at the Veteran's Hospital. Prior to that she worked for Russell Stover's Candies for several years. Silvia was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln and enjoyed quilting, pinochle, drinking coffee and her garden. She was a member of NARFE, the LWML "Cheer" Circle and the AARP. Silvia was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waco. In 1937 she was married to Paul Staehr. She is survived by her daughter Pat (Mike) Meierhenry of Lincoln, her son Jim (Linda) Staehr of Gilbert, South Carolina and her daughter Mary (Don) Beattie of Papillion, NE; 9 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Flora Stuhr and her sister-in-law Florence Schlueter both of York; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harley Kruse and her sister June Stuhr. Private graveside services will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Waco. Family will greet friends from 3-5 pm, Friday, November 9, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waco. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams St., Lincoln, NE.
