Description	:	Sylvia M. Chehock, 98, of the Good Shepherd Care Center in Mason City, Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center's east campus, Mason City, Iowa. Her body was cremated and private services were held at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake. Burial was in the Manly Cemetery, Manly, Iowa. Sylvia was born May 16, 1896 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Dra (Kunz) Daubenmeir. She grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and married Harry P. Klinge there in 1913. He preceded her in death in 1941. She owned and operated Sylvia's Dellicatesen in Manly from 1941-46. She married Paul Chehock in 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple farmed near Plymouth, Iowa. In 1975 she moved to Clear lake, to live with her son. She remained in Clear Lake until 1989 when she moved to Good Shepherd. She was a member of the Grandmother's Club in Clear Lake and the Farmers, Wives and Daughter's Club of rural Plymouth. She was a former member of EUB Church, now known as Bethel United Methodist Church in Manly. Sylvia enjoyed fishing with her granddaughters, traveling and hobbies of all kinds. She is survived by a daughter, June Birdsell and her husband, Don; a son, David Klinge and his wife, Pat, all of Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a sister, Cleo Field; three sons, Danny Klinge, Robert Klinge and James Klinge. Clear Lake Mirror Reporter: Oct. 20, 2007
