Read More	Talmadge Woodard Goodson, 75, of Henderson, NC in the Epsom Community died Monday, September 2, 2019 at his home. Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Otha and Estelle Woodard Goodson. Mr. Goodson was retired owner and operator of Goodson Mobil Home Store. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Jonathan Owens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mary Norwood Goodson; two daughters, Ellen Marie Varner, and Virginia Ann Goodson; a stepson, Norman M. Hilliard II; one sister, Betty Jean G. Faulkner; three grandchildren, Tiffany Varner, Emily Varner, and James Goodson, and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Perkinson Goodson, three sisters, Corine G. Jeter, Linda Sue G. Pernell, and Blanche Goodson, and a great granddaughter. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at his home. Serving as pall bearers will be Johnnie Woodard, Peter Overton, Randy Hayes, Kenny Fuller, Willie Perkinson, and Carl Galebach. Arrangements are by Sossamon Funeral Home.
