Description	:	Mr. Taylor Bausie Brim, Sr., age 91, of Rockingham, NC, and formerly of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Mr. Brim was born in Surry County November 13, 1926, to Rev. Charlie Preston Brim and Della Epperson Brim. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, was past Post Commander of VFW Post 4469 in Beckley, WV, was a member of the VFW American Legion Post 32, the DAV, and in the Merchant Marines he was Junior Vice Commander of District 12. Airy, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Mr. Brim was born in Surry County November 13, 1926, to Rev. Charlie Preston Brim and Della Epperson Brim. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, was past Post Commander of VFW Post 4469 in Beckley, WV, was a member of the VFW American Legion Post 32, the DAV, and in the Merchant Marines he was Junior Vice Commander of District 12. Surviving are daughters, Wanda Gail Brim, and Elizabeth Brim; a son, Taylor Brim, Jr.; grandchildren, LeeAnn Keen and husband, Chris, and Stefanie Gravely; and a great-grandchild, Baylee Keen. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Ramey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Rusty Reed. Burial will follow in Mount Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Pilot Mountain Post 9436 and Mt. Airy Post 2019. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank special friends Leroy Yates and Mike Davis as well as Richmond County Hospice for the exceptional care given to Mr. Brim.
