Proud great-grandfather of seven great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Blanche Sutherland, Marie Cathrae (Lloyd Mundle), Bill Cathrae (Shirley), Doug Cathrae (Orla) and Carol Parkin. Brother-in-law of Carl Laycock and Ross Laycock. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, William and Lottie Cathrae (nee Johnston); his brothers-in-law, John Simon and Harvey Parkin; his father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Mamie Laycock; his sisters-in-law, Gloria Laycock and Nancy Laycock. Ted was an employee of the Ministry of Health for 17 years after which he built and operated the Chatsworth Nursing Home for 15 years. He finished his career in health administration at the Hannah Walker Place. He was an avid boater and captained his own boat to Florida and return in the 90's.
