Teddy passed away Sunday, October 14th at the Cass County Health Center in Atlantic, Iowa. Teddy Junior Weston was born March 22, 1933 in Grant, Iowa, the son of George Terry Weston and Goldie May (Westover) Weston. He attended school in Grant and graduated from Griswold High School. He joined the Iowa National Guard after high school. He was united in marriage to Donna Glee Hensel on September 9, 1951. Six children were born to this union: Robert Dean, Roxanna Rae, Rebecca June, Teresa Lynn, George Rodney and Cynthia May. They lived in Grant all their married life. Teddy ran his own construction business, Weston Construction, which specialized in dirt moving with his caterpillar. He drove a truck part time over the years as well as working at RoMac and Wal-Mart where he was a greeter and assembled bicycles. His some of his interests were playing guitar for the Country Music Jam, woodworking, mowing the Grant City Park and helping to build the “Grant ‘Ol Opry” stage. He served as President of the Grant Community Preservationist Group and worked to restore the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, making jelly and bird watching. He bowled on several leagues, even going to state with one of his teams. He built and flew model airplanes and enjoyed go-karts with his children. He would play cards with all who stopped to visit. He is survived by his children Robert (Georgia) Weston of Edgewood, New Mexico; Roxanna (Gail) Peterson of Creston; Rebecca (David) Westover of Grant; Teresa Knudson of Omaha, Nebraska; George (Laura) Weston of Elliott; and Cynthia (Wallace) Harvey of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren Robert Weston, Wennifer Duskus, Juliette Weston, Jeremie Peterson, Jodie Heinemann, Jesse Westover, Jude Westover, Callie Westover, Nathan Knudson, Colby Weston, Jebediah Weston, Madeleine Weston, Gwendolyn Weston, Jennifer Eblen, Tiffany Murchison, and Jessica Cooper; 28 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Peggy Weston of Grant and Jacky (Bob) Samuelson of Clarinda; brother-in-law Robert (Doris Jean) Hensel of Atlantic and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his siblings Mick Weston, Walt Weston, Betty Meyers, Billie Ann Foote and Savilla Gebhart. Wolfe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
