Description	:	Teresa Agnes Morisch, daughter of Winchel and Johanna Morisch, was born in Juncon County, Wisconsin, December 27, 1867 and died very suddenly at her home one mile west of Albion on February 1, 1935 at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 5 days. She came to Nebraska with her parents in the year of 1875, locating on a homestead about ten miles east of Albion on what is now known as the A. E. Jacobson farm. Read More	Teresa Agnes Morisch, daughter of Winchel and Johanna Morisch, was born in Juncon County, Wisconsin, December 27, 1867 and died very suddenly at her home one mile west of Albion on February 1, 1935 at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 5 days. She came to Nebraska with her parents in the year of 1875, locating on a homestead about ten miles east of Albion on what is now known as the A. E. Jacobson farm. She attended the rural school, which was a sod school house, later attending a larger school. After completing her education she became one of the county’s best teachers. She was united in marriage to Nelson P. Simons on July 3, 1890. To this union seven children were born: Vern W. and Ralph J. of Albion; Guy E. of Newport, Nebraska; Leroy H. of Grand Island; Willard J. of Columbus and the Misses Merle and Mildred, who are at home. She also raised a niece from infancy to young womanhood. Mrs. Simons was a very conscientious Christian. During her childhood and early womanhood she was brought up in the Catholic faith. After her marriage she reconsecrated her heart and life of her Christ and became affiliated with the First Congregational church of Albion, Nebraska. Mrs. Simons has been in failing health for a number of years, but she put her trust in her Christ and bore her affliction without complaint to anyone. She was a kind and loving wife and mother; always thinking first of the welfare of her children and grandchildren and denying herself some of the pleasures of life to help others. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, her seven children, 25 grandchildren, six brothers. Her only sister preceded her in death nine years ago. In the passing of this good wife and mother, one could say as the Apostle of Old: “I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Congregational church conducted by the pastor Rev. E. E. Morrill. Out of town relatives attending the funeral were C. W. Miller of Alliance, Mrs. Laura Bullock of Edgemont, South Dakota; and Mrs. Otto Miller of McPherson, Kansas. (Albion Weekly News – Albion, Nebraska – February 7, 1935)
