Terry Joseph Reardon was born November 18, 1964, in Albion, Nebraska, to Thomas Patrick and Deanna (Flaherty) Reardon. Terry attended St. Edward High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He also enjoyed singing in the school choir and performed at numerous events including at the State Choral Choir Concert in Gretna, Nebraska. Terry was also crowned homecoming King his senior year of high school. After high school, Terry attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Terry sang with the Nebraska Choral Choir during the 1984 Orange Bowl. Terry transferred to the University of Nebraska Kearney, where he graduated with a degree in accounting. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Robin Kay Case, on December 27, 1986, in Columbus. Together they had three children; Chelsea, Shane, and Kirby, along with countless dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, and guinea pigs. Terry was a devoted father who attended all of his children’s sporting events. He enjoyed traveling with his family to places such as Chicago, Steamboat Springs, and Hawaii. Terry was a business man who worked alongside his wife and dad while owning Reardon Lawn and Garden since 1985. Terry’s business was named ‘Dealers in Excellence’ in 2005 from Lawn and Garden magazine. He loved interacting with all of his customers, appreciated the support from his community, and spending time with his kids at the shop. Terry was an avid Husker and Cubs fan. He really enjoyed the Nebraska/Creighton basketball rivalry as his household was divided between the two teams. He also enjoyed trying new golf courses each Father’s Day with his dad and two sons. Terry was an active member in his church, a City Council member for eight years, and was a volunteer fireman for nearly 30 years.
