Description	:	Thad Evan Millard, 44, of Rome suffered a cardiac arrest at his home and died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born Sept. 8, 1967, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Thomas and Joan Hart Millard. In January 1991, he married Sue Kline in Mount Pleasant. They divorced. Mr. Millard worked 20 years at Schaus-Vorhies Manufacturing in Fairfield as a steel fabricator. He graduated from Mount Pleasant Community High School in 1986. Born Sept. 8, 1967, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Thomas and Joan Hart Millard. In January 1991, he married Sue Kline in Mount Pleasant. They divorced. Mr. Millard worked 20 years at Schaus-Vorhies Manufacturing in Fairfield as a steel fabricator. He graduated from Mount Pleasant Community High School in 1986. He currently served on the city council in Rome. He rebuilt Triumph motorcycles in his shop, Henry County Choppers, and entered them in bike shows. He was known as "Triumph Man" and "Possum," and was famous for his chicken dance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially time with his children. Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Millard of Danville and Mikayla Millard of Rome; two grandchildren; his mother of Mount Pleasant; his significant other, Liz Barnett of Rome; his ex-wife, Sue Millard of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Timothy Millard of Lockridge, Tony Millard of Mount Pleasant and Todd Millard of Salem; and two sisters, Robin Millard and Rita Huling, both of Mount Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his father. Burial will be in Oakland Mills Cemetery.
