Description	:	Thalia Sarilda Soester daughter of Augustine and Euphema Short, was born December 6, 1888 at Wilsonville, Nebr. After her schooling she was employed at the Wilsonville Post Office for a time. On April 14,1909 she was united in marriage with Ruben Elmer Bacon of Culbertson, Nebr. To this union two children were born, Phyllis Wohlers of Crawford , and Dwight Bacon of Independence, Mo. In 1920 the family came to Dawes County where she remained the rest of her life. After her schooling she was employed at the Wilsonville Post Office for a time. On April 14,1909 she was united in marriage with Ruben Elmer Bacon of Culbertson, Nebr. To this union two children were born, Phyllis Wohlers of Crawford , and Dwight Bacon of Independence, Mo. In 1920 the family came to Dawes County where she remained the rest of her life. On April 12, 1938 she was married to Theodore Soester, who precede her in death, June, 1971. Mrs Soester was active in the Nazarene Church at Crawford. She is survived by her son, Dwight, her daughter Phyllis, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death. Services for Mrs Soester were held at the Houston Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, with the Rev. Robert Bishop officiating. Burial was at the Crawford cemetery.
