Description	:	Theada was born on a farm three miles east of Lennox on Aug. 14, 1900, the daughter of John and Swantje (Buus) Naatjes. She attended Crowley rural school and grew to womanhood there. On Mar. 26, 1924, she was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Siepkes at LaValley Church east of Lennox. Read More	Theada was born on a farm three miles east of Lennox on Aug. 14, 1900, the daughter of John and Swantje (Buus) Naatjes. She attended Crowley rural school and grew to womanhood there. On Mar. 26, 1924, she was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Siepkes at LaValley Church east of Lennox. Following their marriage they farmed at Estelline for four years and then moved to their farm six miles north of Lennox. They farmed there until 1941 when they moved into Lennox. Her husband died on Apr. 9, 1956. She continued to live in Lennox since that time. She became a resident of Hilda's Heritage Home in Feb. of 1996 and then the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Aug. 8, 1997. Theada died shortly after noon on Friday, Mar. 5, 1999 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center, due to complications of the flu. She attained the age of 98 years, six months and 21 days. Grateful for having shared her life are her son; LuVerne Siepkes and his wife, Lavonne, of Staples, MN; her two daughters: Ruth Beck and her husband, Arnold, of rural Worthing and Margery Siepkes of Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Steever and Tena Poppens, both of Lennox; two sisters-in-law; Helen Siepkes of Lennox and Dena Siepkes of Sioux Falls.
